Here are the rules and regulations of Heritage Short Pitch Tournament 2025:

General Match Format

Team Size: Each team can have a maximum of 7 players per match. Rolling sub is allowed.

Match Duration: Each match will consist of 10 overs per innings.

Bowling Speed Limit: Maximum bowling speed is strictly limited to 50 KM/H. 

Exceeding the speed limit results in a no ball (no free-hit).

Bowling Quota: A maximum of 2 overs per bowler is allowed in each match.

Match Scheduling & Toss Rules

Double Round-Robin Format: Each team will play 2 matches against every other team.

Toss Rules:

In the first encounter, the toss-winning team chooses whether to bat or bowl first.

In the second encounter, the same team must do the opposite of what they chose in the first match (i.e., if they batted first in the first match, they will bowl first in the second, and vice versa).

Scoring & Officiating

Scoring: All scores and wickets must be recorded using the CricHero App.

Boundary Rules: Umpires will explain boundary rules clearly before each match.

Umpiring:

The umpire’s decision is final.

One non-playing team must provide an umpire, agreed upon by the captains of the playing teams.

The same non-playing team must also provide four players to assist with ball collection.

Finals Format

The top 2 teams after the group stage will qualify for the Final Series.

The final will be a best-of-three series (3 matches maximum).

Toss will be conducted before each match in the final series.

Awards & Recognition

The Man of the Tournament, and the Champion and Runners-up Trophy.
