We are thrilled to announce that We Ashes of Steel will be organizing the Summer Cricket League 2025 for young and passionate cricketers! This is a great opportunity for budding cricketers to showcase their talent and be part of a competitive, fun, and exciting cricket tournament.

Tournament Rules:

The ICC (International Cricket Council) rules for ONE-DAY(50 Overs)  cricket matches are as follows:

Key Rules:

1. Match duration: Each team faces a maximum of 50 overs.

2. Innings: Each team has one innings.

3. Overs: A bowler can bowl a maximum of 10 overs per match.

4. Fielding restrictions: There are fielding restrictions in place for the first 10 overs (Powerplay 1),10-40(Poerplay 2) and the remaining 10 overs.

5. Powerplay:

-Powerplay 1: First 10 overs, 2 fielders outside the 30-yard circle.

 

- Powerplay 2  :4 fielders allowed  outside the 30-yard circle.

- Powerplay 3 : 5 fielders allowed outside the 30 -yard circle

6. Result: The team with the higher score at the end of 50 overs wins.

Other Rules:

1. Toss: Toss is taken when the team consist of min 9 members.

2. Wide balls and no-balls: Wide balls and no-balls result in extra runs and a free hit.

3. Free hit: The batsman cannot be dismissed (except for run-out) off a free hit delivery.

Note: Players should be available on time at the ground, in any other case the deduction of 1 over for every 5 mins will be taken.

Match Schedule:

1 matches per day

MATCH TIMINGS:9:00AM-5:00PM

TOSS TIME :8:45 AM.

Reporting Time: Teams must report 30 Mins(8:30am) before the match start time. Failure to do so will result in a walkover and forfeiting of the match.

Group Structure:

6 teams only

Each team will play 5 league matches

Knockout Stage: The top team from each group will qualify for the Finals, which will take place from Monday to Friday.

Official Equipment:

White  ball will be used in all matches

Colour jersy is mandatory for all players(Atlesst 9 players).

Each team will have a squad limit of 15 players throughout the tournament

Umpires & Scorers: All matches will be officiated by qualified umpires and official scorers to ensure fair play.

Important Details Venue: The matches will be played at [ WILSON CRICKET GROUND (WCG),Near Dundigal Village.],equipped with the best facilities for an exciting cricketing experience.

 

Team Registration: Ensure your team is registered by Paying Advance 50% on or before 29th June, 2025, Sunday by 12 pm Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out on the chance to participate in this thrilling tournament.

Safety Protocols: Players’ safety is our top priority. The event will adhere to all safety regulations, including adequate first aid during the tournament.

Refreshments: Refreshment drinks will be provided for all players and team members during the event.
