TITLE:

1. The club shall be called Your Cricket Club [YCC].

LIABILITY:

1. There is no liability to anyone in this league. There is no insurance.

2. Marks and Spencer are not associated with the Club in any capacity.

3. Each player is responsible for using the correct protective equipment.

CODE OF CONDUCT:

1. Games will be played with the standard code of cricket.

2. Aggressive and unruly behavior will not be tolerated, and players can be excluded from the league.

3. Each team to ensure that their squad members are given equal chances of participation.

TEAMS/MEMBERSHIP:

1. All teams need to declare their Team Players to the Management Team. Details to include, names, email address, contact phone number

2. Maximum of 4 Foreign players are allowed in the squad, and maximum of 3 can be used in the playing XI

3. All teams must confirm their foreign players ahead of the tournament start date and cannot be changed during the playing season.

4. All team squad members shall be regarded as members of the club for the current playing season. League and Cup Competition

FINANCES:

1. The club shall be self-financed via Match Fees.

2. Match fees have been set at £<> per person per match. This may be changed during the season, e.g. to fund additional kit or trophies.

3. All expenses need to be agreed by the Management committee with budget allocations.

4. Costs will need to cover all club expenses including Pitch Hire, Kit, Refreshments, and Trophies.

5. Expense receipts will need to be registered with the Treasurer.

6. Team captains are responsible for collecting Match Fees from their playing staff.

EQUIPMENT:

1. The equipment is owned by the Club for current and future use.

2. No member shall have a right to any part of the club equipment.

3. Any new equipment requirements are to be funded from match fees.

4. Individuals are responsible for due care for all club equipment.

5. Willful damage of the club equipment will need to be paid for.

6. YCC adopts Minimum Kit Policy and will maintain one set.

7. Players are encouraged to use their individual/Team’s Kits whenever possible.

UMPIRING:

1. Neutral umpires will be used where possible.

2. If not available, then the batting team will provide the umpires.

3. Umpiring shall be fair for all teams.

4. All balls down leg side missing batsman and stumps shall be deemed wide

5. Offside wide shall be a judgement of the umpire and shall be consistent throughout the match.

6. Umpires’ decision is final.

MATCH:

• Number of overs per innings will depend on start time. 17:30 = 20 overs 17:45 = 18 overs 18:00 = 16 overs ... and so on Note: if the delay is less than 15 mins, Umpires will decide the number of overs.

• Each inning will start with a new ball, when this is lost a suitable used ball will be used.

• 2 points for a win or a walkover [i.e. one team could not fulfil fixture].

• League Matches: No re-scheduling of League matches because cancellations don’t credit back.

• Cup Competition: Abandoned matches [rain, bad light] to be rescheduled if we have spare pitch bookings.

• League: if the match is abandoned due to bad weather or bad light, YCC-Points-Awarding-Rules (YPAR Method) will take effect. To apply YPAR, 75% of allotted overs should have been completed. i.e. 30 overs bowled for a full T20 match. At the point of play stopped, Match is awarded to chasing team (batting second) under the below criteria Lesser than or equal to 3 runs per over required, With 5 or more wickets left Match is awarded to defending team (bowling second) under the below criteria Greater than or equal to 7 runs per over required, With 3 or less wickets left

• If no play is possible or the above criteria are not met at the point of play stopped, then one point will be awarded to each team. For a tied match, Super over will be played time allowing; otherwise bowl out will decide. Note: Bad light will be decided with the help of light meter; Umpire decision is final.

• The Duckworth–Lewis’s method (often written as D/L method) will not be used.

• NRR to determine league positions for teams on level points.

BORROWED & SUBSTITUTE PLAYERS:

• Only when a Team is short of playing XI on match day, they could borrow a player from other YCC Team squad.

• To bat after the fall of the 3rd wicket.

• To bowl after 6th over.

BATTING:

• Batsman will retire after scoring 35 runs, no retiring in the last 4 overs.

• Any retired batsman can continue or return after the fall of 5th wicket.

• No rule on the return batsman retiring again.

• When Caught outfield, There’s no crossover of non-Striker. New batsman should face the next delivery (unless it’s end of over side-change).

• If a team has one less player, the last batsman can continue with a runner at the other end – if the runner is run out that the batsman is run out.

• A by-runner will be allowed only in the instance of Batsman gets injured and unable to run but able to bat. Umpires shall make this decision. (By-runner shall be fully geared)

BOWLING:

• Minimum of 5 bowlers required as per international rules.

• Maximum overs per bowler will depend on the number of overs a match is being played.

• Chucking or throwing action will be given a first warning. Any further instance from the same bowler will be called a No-ball. Umpires will unanimously decide if the action is acceptable or not.

FIELDING:

• At least 4 fielders to be always inside the circle, not including the Bowler and Keeper.

• Slow Over rate field restrictions: Allotted Time: 20 over innings = 1hr 20 mins 18 over innings = 1 hr 15 mins 16 over innings = 1hr 5 mins (*roughly 4 minutes per over) Fail to complete innings in the given time will result in 5 fielders inside circle.

  • To avoid batting team effecting the slow over rate, Batsman must be ready to face the ball when the field and bowler are ready.
  • ‘Ball goes missing’ or ‘Any injuries causing time delay’ will be excluded from the allotted time for the innings.
  • Next batsman should be padded up in dugout and Change should take only a minute or less.
  • Innings break will be 10 mins Note: Unless stated otherwise in this rule book, All ICC rules will apply

SCORING:

• Umpires / Batting side to score

• Wides = (2 runs as Extras + any scored-on runs) and ball counted All No Balls will be followed by a free Hit • No Ball = (1 run as Extra + any scored-on runs) and ball not counted. Re-ball is a Free hit If Re-ball is a No-ball again, original no-ball rule will apply as above If Re-ball is a wide = 1 run as Extra + any scored on runs and ball not counted. Re-ball is a Free hit [Standard International rules] LAST 2 OVERS

• Wides and No Balls = 1 run and ball not counted [Standard International rules]

• No retiring

AWARDS/RECOGNITITION:

• A Man of the Match will be nominated by both Captains and Umpires for each match.

• Player of the season will be recognized.
