3rd MAY 2025 MWCA INTERNAL TOURNAMENT 

RULES AND TERMS : REPORTING TIME 3.30pm 

(Following set of rules are subject to definite additions/change)

1. Double leg league cum finals 

2. Each team 9 players 

3. Each team gets 4 assured games 

4. Each inning will be of 5 overs 

5. No openers to be repeated

6. Batter to declare at individual score of 25 or last scoring shot at individual score of 24

7. No bowlers can be repeated in a single/same inning 

8. *Every 3rd ball of every over will be power ball*. *Only one player will be on the boundary on 3rd ball* behind the line(which is behind straight umpire). 

9. *Placement of fielders on 3rd ball will be*:

1 fielder at boundary +

4 fielder behind bowler + bowler +

2 fielder before bowler +

 1 keeper*

10. No leg byes,no lbw and no pitch centre line rule 

11. If a ball bounces twice before reaching popping crease then it’s a no ball 

12. *CAUTION* : Each team will get 15 minutes to bowl their quota of 5 overs failing which there will be penalty @ 5 runs per over 

13. *CAUTION*: If new batter doesn’t reach the crease within 15 seconds then that’s out i.e. wicket down. Countdown starts the moment final verdict is given by the umpire 

14. Winning team gets 2 points, losing team gets 0 and in case of tie points will be shared

15. For qualification for finals if teams have equal points then run rate will decide ie; total number of runs divided by total number of balls played and if that is also a tie then the team losing fewer wickets goes through AND if that’s also a tie then on the basis of winner in the league game.
