RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT-2018

1. The tournament will be played with the tennis ball green in colour.

2. The tournament will start at 7.30 a.m. on wards and 6.00p.m. Daily.

3. The tournament is open only for members of the club, their family, and member’s son above 21 years of age will

be allowed to play with prior permission.

4. The tournament shall be conducted by a committee appointed for the purpose.

5. The decision of the committee will be final and binding in all respects.

6. The committee reserves the right to select the teams.

7. The committee reserves the right to change the rules (if required), regarding the tournament.

8. Children below 8 years are not allowed to participate in the tournament.

9. Every player must remain present on the ground 30 min. before the time of commencement of the match.

10. Players are allowed to bring their own bats which are normal cricket bats allowed in the various tournaments Fancy bats like Mongoose Bat, Fiber bats etc. will not be allowed in the tournament. However, the club will also provide standard size bats.

11. The entry form should be complete in all respects, duly signed by the participant and the member and handed over at the club office along with the entry fee. Forms without entry fee will not be accepted.

12. Member’s sons up to the age of 21 years must attach a Xerox copy of birth certificate with entry form, and are required to present their club identity cards.

13. All players are required to wear own sports shoes. T-Shirt will be provided by the club. Players wearing half pants or ¾ pants will not be allowed to play the matches.

14. A Single player cannot represent more than one team.

15. Misbehavior by any player will result in direct suspension of the team.

16. All matches will be played on Knock out - League basis for all the age groups.

17. All matches will be of 15 over’s each, while in the age group 8-12 years all matches will be of 12 over’s.

18. All final matches will be of 20 overs, except the age group of 8 to 12 years.

19. 2 fielders will be allowed to field outside the inner circle for the first 3 overs of the match.

20. 4 fielders without w.k. and bowler should be inside the inner circle throughout the innings after 3 over’s.

21. In the Final Matches 2 Fielders will be allowed to field outside the inner circle for the first 4 overs of the match.

22. In the Final Matches 4 fielders without w.k. and bowler should be inside the inner circle throughout the innings after 4 over’s

23. A Single bowler can bowl max. 3 over’s in the match in all the age groups.

24. A Single bowler can bowl max. 4 over’s in the final match in all the age group, except the age group of 8 to 12 years.

25. If a player remains absent, nobody can play in his place and the team will have to play as “Short of one player”.

26. In case of tie, the team with minimum wickets lost will be declared the winner or the tournament committee’s decision will be final.

27. A batsman, in all age groups, will retire after scoring 40 runs in a match. In the age group 8 to 12 a batsman will retire after scoring 20 runs in a match.

28. Batting power play for two consecutive over will be allowed at the choice of batting side.

29. In the batting power play 3 fielders will be allowed to field outside the inner circle.

30. In the age group 8-12 option of batting power play will not be given.

31. In the age group 8 to 12 category no extra ball will be given against no balls & wide balls.2 runs will be awarded to batting side

for each no ball and wide ball.

32. Results for each match will be declared by the tournament committee.

33. The award ceremony will take place immediately after the finals at the club lawns.

34. In case of Rains

a. In a knock – Out round, if the first innings is not completed then a fresh match will be played as per the new schedule.

If it rains in the second innings before completion of 7 over’s then a coin will be tossed and the winner will be declared. If it rains in the second innings after completion of 7 over’s then the team who has scored higher run’s at the end of 7 over’s will be declared winner, wickets lost will not be considered.

b. In a league match, equal points will be allotted to each team.

c. The decision of the tournament committee in consultation with the umpires shall stand final.

35.The Prize are : Winner’s trophy in all the age group, Runner’s up trophy in all age groups, Man of the Series in all the age group of

the tournament. Best Batsmen of the tournament in all the age groups. Best Bowler of the tournament in all the age groups. Various

Cash Prizes in all the Age Group. Individual Medals for Players of Final and Runner’s up Team in the Age Group of 8 to 12.

36. In any dispute during match the Chief Referee decision will be final and binding to all.

37. Man of the Match for each match will be decided by the Chief Referee.

38. Entry Fees is nonrefundable in case of cancellation.

39. Club management has strictly decided that no practice will be allowed at the club lawn or the club premises.

40. In a team , a maximum of 3 players can play from the higher age group .i.e. a player falling in the age group of 45 years & above can play in the immediate lower age group of 37 to 45 years& a player falling in the age group of 37 to 45 years can play in the immediate lower age group of 19 to 36 years. A player falling in the age group 19 to 36 years cannot play in the age group of 13 to 18 years. The above rule is applicable to the following age groups only:37 to 45 years, 45 years & above.

41. Members who are not playing in a special team can also specify to play in the immediate lower age group than the applicable age group.
