All matches will be played with center court tennis balls. A new ball will be used for each innings – captains can choose the new ball.
In case of lost ball : Until 4 overs: A new ball will be used, After 4 overs: A used ball will be given – no choice to the captain.
League matches will be of 10 overs each, while playoff matches will be 12 overs each.
In league matches, only 1 bowler can bowl 2 overs, & the others can bowl 1 over each.
In playoffs, 2 bowlers can bowl 2 overs each, and the others can bowl 1 over each.
Extra runs will include no balls (with a free hit), wide balls, overthrows, and bye runs. No runs will be for leg byes, and Leg Before Wicket (LBW) dismissals are not allowed.
A No Ball will be called for:
Illegitimate deliveries, resulting in an extra run and a free hit .
Failure to notify the umpire of a change in the bowling side .
Front foot no balls, when the bowler crosses the popping crease & side crease.
Balls that bounce more than once or roll along the ground. No Dead Balls.
Full tosses above the batter’s waist .
Underarm deliveries.
At any point, players can run only 2 runs physically within the premises per delivery, whether from the bat or byes. In case of an overthrow, an extra 2 runs allowed.
If there is a second overthrow, it will be considered void —no extra runs will be awarded. Total runs (including overthrows) cannot exceed 4 per delivery .
Match times: 1st Match - at 8:00 PM , 2nd Match - at 9:30 PM.
Penalties for late arrival: 1 over deducted for every 10 minutes late, and an additional over for every subsequent 5 minutes.
A team that fails to report within 30 mins of the match time will forfeit the match.
The umpires, decision is final. In case of any confusion, the decision is will be made after consulting with the other field umpire, and both teams must accept it. Unnecessary arguments that disrupt the match will result in a penalty of 5 runs.
The committee will coordinate only with team captains, who are responsible for informing their players about the rules. The committee’s decision is final in case of any disputes.
