Rules & Regulations
1. Matches will be 8 3 players with knocout basis. Anyone from the 11 can Bat and Bowl.
2. Matches will be played on a turf ground field.
3. All matches will be played with 3 overs per innings due to time constraints.
4. A bowler can bowl a maximum of 1 over in an innings.
5. The tournament will consist of 24 men’s teams, divided into 2 groups.
6. Bowlers are allowed to bowl only LEG SPIN, OFF SPIN & STRAIGHT BALL. Please note, bowlers are not allowed to chuck or throw – such actions will be considered a No Ball.
7. Tournament only for Konkani Speaking Catholics.
8. There will be two prizes: Winners Cash and Runner-up Cash. Individual trophies for Best Batter of the Tournament, Best Bowler of the Tournament, Best Fielder of the Tournament and MVP of the Tournament. A Player of the Match award will be given for each match based on results recorded in the
CricHeroes App.
9. Captains must brief all their players about the Rules & Regulations well in advance.
10. Organizers will create the team’s name in the CricHeroes App, and one player will be made the team admin,
who will have the right to add the 10 players to his team.
11. If a match ends in a Tie, a Super Over will decide the winner. If the Super Over also ends in a tie, the winner will be declared based on the highest number of boundaries scored.
12. If a batsman gets injured, a runner will not be allowed. He can retire hurt and bat again only after the fall of the next wicket. An injured player can only be substituted for fielding purposes.
13. Match timings will be strictly followed as per the schedule. The match will start sharp at the stated time,
and the toss will be done 15 minutes prior.
14. No LBWs, No Free Hits. Umpire's decision is Final.
15. Byes and leg byes rules will apply.
16. LOTS will be taken on 5th May 2025.
17. There will be Single Run (declared), Fours, and Sixes from marked areas around the ground.
18. Avoid Littering inside and outside the ground. Players are responsible for keeping the ground and surroundings clean. Please trash empty water bottles responsibly.
19. Ground fees is AED350/- per team.
20. Valid Visa or Visit Visa is allowed to play in a team.
21. The last date for team registration and fee payment is 30 th April 2025. All teams are requested to
complete registration and make payment at the earliest.
22. STRICTLY NO SMOKING/ALCOHOL PERMITTED ON THE GROUND. All players are strictly advised not to consume alcohol during a cricket match.
