Challenger Trophy Season 3
Date: 9th March 2025, Venue: BJ Medical College Ground
General Rules:
1. Match Format:
• Each innings will consist of 8 overs.
• Maximum 45 minutes per innings.
2. Bowling & Fielding:
• Maximum 2 overs per bowler.
• Powerplay: First 2 overs with only 2 fielders outside the inner circle.
• Maximum 2 bouncers allowed per over. Any additional bouncers will be declared a wide.
• Field placements cannot be altered for a Free Hit.
3. Batting Rules:
• No Leg Before Wicket (LBW)
• Runs will be awarded for Wides, Byes, and Overthrows.
• A Runner is allowed for an injured batsman.
4. Match Conduct:
• Super Over will decide the winner in case of a tie.
• Impact Player Rule is allowed (One player can be substituted during the match).
• Players must uphold the Spirit of the Game.
• The Umpires decision is final and must be respected.
• Arguments with umpires and scorers are strictly prohibited.
Awards:
1. Team Awards:
• Revolving Trophy for the Winner and Runner-Up teams.
• Individual Medals for the Winning Team (16 medals).
2. Match Awards:
• Man, of the Match trophies for all 4 matches.
3. Individual Awards:
• Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, and Most Valuable Player (MVP) trophies.
• 40+ Category Awards for Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, and MVP.
4. Special Awards:
• Best Catch of the Tournament.
• Most Consecutive 4s.
• Most Consecutive 6s.
• Most Consecutive Wickets.
