Team Composition and Player Requirements
Each squad consists of 12 players:
11 players in the playing lineup
1 impact substitute (same gender as the replaced player)
Eligibility:
Open to current Georgia Tech students
Recent graduates (within two years) may be included if needed
Players must check in with their GTID before participating
Matchday Requirements
Arrival Time:
Teams must arrive 45 minutes prior to their match
Late arrival results in disqualification
Injury Substitutions:
Impact substitutes may replace injured players
Multiple injuries require playing with the remaining squad
Pre-match injuries may allow replacements subject to eligibility
Team Selection and Gender Allocation
Selection by the organizing committee considers:
Player experience
Gender balance
Requests to play together (from application forms)
Gender allocations maintained due to typically lower female participation
Captain Responsibilities
Captains serve as liaisons between:
Umpires
The organizing committee
Responsibilities include ensuring rule adherence and proper conduct
Conduct and Discipline
Umpire Decisions:
Final and binding; no disputes allowed
Player Misconduct:
First instance: warning
Second instance: removal without replacement
Captains share accountability for team conduct
Safety and Liability
The organizing committee is not responsible for injuries but will assist if needed
Equipment and Gameplay Rules
Matches use hard tennis balls
Impact Substitutes:
Allowed anytime if of the same gender
Scoring:
Managed via the CricHeroes app
Match Format:
20 overs per match, 10 overs per innings
Innings time limit: 45 minutes
Exceeding this limit may incur a 5-run penalty
Bowling limits:
One bowler may bowl 3 overs
Others: 2 overs or fewer
Batting Lineup:
A female player must be in the top four positions

M1: Team 1 vs Team 2
M2: Team 3 vs Team 4
M3: Team 5 vs Team 6
M4: Team 7 vs Team 8
M5: Winner of M1 vs Winner of M2
M6: Winner of M3 vs Winner of M4
M7: Winner of M5 vs Winner of M6 (Final)
Awards and Recognition
YPL Trophy:
First Place Team name engraved on the trophy (retained by organizers)
Individual Awards:
Best Bowler and Best Batter receive trophies
Team Awards:
Medals awarded to First and Second Place team members
Media and Social Media Consent
Participation implies consent to social media coverage
Players must install the CricHeroes app and register for performance tracking
