SWPL Rules ?

1. Substitute players are NOT allowed.

2. Team Size: 10 players per team.

3. Match Format: 5 overs per side.

Bowling Limit: Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 1 over.

4. Batting Order:

The top 4 batsmen (who have not bowled) will open the innings.

5. Fielding Restrictions:

A maximum of 3 players can stand at the boundary line.

A maximum of 5 players can field behind the bowler.

6. Bowling Restrictions:

Side-arm bowling is NOT allowed.

Batsmen opening the innings will NOT be allowed to bowl.

7. Net Catch Rules:

A top net catch is OUT.

A side net catch is NOT out.

8. Stumping Rule: Stumping on a no-ball is NOT out.

9. Tie Situations:

In group stages: Points will be shared.

In semi-finals: Chasing is compulsory.

In finals: There will be a Super Over.

10. Captain's Authority:

Players with concerns must inform their captain.

Only the captain can coordinate with the umpires or committee.

11. Match Timing: Teams must be ready at the venue 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

12. No-Ball Rules:

Any ball bowled above waist height is a no-ball.

Any ball bowled directly behind the stumps is a no-ball.

Powerplay Twist in SWPL ?

1. Powerplay Over: The 3rd over will be designated as the Powerplay Over.

2. Fielding Restrictions During Powerplay:

Only 3 players are allowed behind the bowler.

Only 1 player/fielder is allowed at the boundary line.

*Player Conduct and Safety Rule*

Players must take care of themselves during the match.

Avoid making any comments about players or activities outside the game.

The committee will not be responsible for any such incidents or conflicts arising from these comments.

*Bowling Time Restriction Rule*

The bowling team must complete their 5 overs within 25 minutes.

If the bowling team fails to complete the overs within the stipulated time, one player from the bowling team will be sent off the field for the remainder of the match.
