Tournament Structure
- A total of 8 teams will compete in this tournament, which will feature a total of 10 league matches. Each team will face off against one another in a round-robin format. The matches will be spread out over several days, ensuring that each team has the opportunity to showcase their talents and compete for the championship title.
- The top 4 teams from the points table will qualify to the semi finals. The winner of Semifinal 1 will face the Winner of Semifinal 2.
NOTE:- The semi-finals and final will be held at a cricket ground, with a Powerplay of 6 overs considered in each inning and the schedule will be shared based on the availability of the venue. Teams are required to arrive at the ground to play their respective matches. It is not the host's responsibility to ensure that all players are available.
Team Registration
- The registration fee for each team is set at ₹5,000, with a firm deadline of January 15th for submissions. Don’t miss out!
- The winner will confidently take home a prize of ₹11,000, while the runner-up will secure ₹5,000.
- The best batsman in the tournament will confidently receive ₹500, while the best bowler will also be awarded ₹500.
- The remaining funds will be confidently allocated to ensure the smooth operation of the tournament and to provide refreshments for the officials.
Scoring and Umpiring
- The scoring system will be powered by the CricHeroes application.
- A player from the batting team will be responsible for recording the video, and this task will be completed effectively
- Only the umpires will have access to the recording after the review.
- Only the umpire has the right to consult with the host about the decision. If the recording is unavailable for any reason, then the front umpire's decision will be final. The umpire's decision is final and will be upheld in all matters without exceptions.
Match Rules
- Each team will play a total of 20 overs, with a 15-minute interval scheduled between innings.
- All matches will use "Sixit Tennis" balls, and each team can include an impact player.
- Only one substitute fielder is permitted on the field at any given time. It's important to note that substitute fielders can't bowl or bat.
- If a player from the fielding team substitutes in the middle of the match, they must spend 2 overs in the field before being allowed to bowl.
- The Host and Co-Host have the authority to change the tournament rules.
- The teams that don't report on time will be disqualified from the match, and their opponent will receive 2 points.
- Both captains and a minimum of 6 players from each team have to be present for the toss 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Timing will be shared on before a day.
- The captain will carry one set of stumps and bails, The captain is responsible for occupying and preparing the pitch for the match.
- During the match, the batting team's players should stand behind the boundary line (Dugout).
- After the match, the fielding team must collect all the cones and wickets.
- If any stumps or cones are missing, the team's captain will be responsible.
- 2 reviews will be available per inning for each team and Over-throw runs are available.
- 2 bouncers will be allowed in an over. 3rd and onward bouncers will be called no-balls.
- Tie-breaker: Super over will be played to decide the match result. Each team nominates 3 batsmen and one bowler to play one over per side at the beginning of the Super Over.
- There will not be a dead-ball scenario.
- Communicate rules clearly to your participants and officials.
Conduct and Discipline
- It is imperative to uphold a standard of respect toward opponents, officials, and all individuals involved in the activity.
- If there’s any misconduct, we have a few friendly reminders in place! You might receive a first warning for misbehavior, and there could be over deductions in innings. In some cases, there may even be a match suspension.
