DCL was conceptualised in 2016 by Ubaid Ul Haq. The tournament since then has gained popularity and has increased the number of Teams to 16 this year. The tournament this year will has be divided in two groups. The intial league will consist of 56 matches, which will be followed by S8 and then Play Offs and Grand Finale.
