CHIMANBHAI PREMIER LEAGUE (#CPL)
General Instructions:
1. It is an inter-class cricket tournament.
2. It’s a throw ball tournament played with soft tennis ball
3. There will be 11 players a side (plus 2 reserve players). During team registration, it is mandatory to specify captain and vice-captain, team name and dress code. All players should be current and regular students at a college.
4. Every team can have their unique name and dress.
5. I-Card is required which proves that the player belongs to present batch and year for every player during team registration.
6. A player can take part from one team only.
7. Substitute is not allowed in any case during the match.
8. Every team must carry their own bat.
9. It’s a knock-out tournament (i.e., defeated team will be out of the tournament). For ranking, run rate will be considered. Run rate will be calculated based on total runs scored / total balls played. If a team is all-out, 60 balls will be considered to calculate run-rate. In case of a tie, super over will decide match result.
10. Every team must report at the tournament venue at least 30 minutes before the start of a match. A team that failed to report will be disqualified.
11. All matches will be played at Chimanbhai Patel Institute campus, S. G. Highway, Ahmedabad.
12. Winner, runner-up, best bowler, best batsman and player of the tournament will get trophies. Every participant will also get a certificate.
13. The Sports committee have right to make changes in schedule and rules as and when needed.
