This is a friendly two day cricket challenge created by Vikings Cricket Pool . This tournament has our regular VCL round robin format . We are exited as we have two guest teams joining us in this league .
Tournament format & Rules :
- 8 players max on the field per team
- 10 over games
- Max 3 overs per bowler
- All ICC rules apply except the Leg Bye and LBW
- New batsman on strike (catch outs)
- Dead ball is a no ball
- If the match is stopped due to bad weather or any other unavoidable reason and it’s below 3/4 (e.g. in case of 10 overs match, 3/4th match means 10 overs of first innings and 5 overs of the second innings) then it will be considered as “not played”, both teams will get 1 point each else the game is marked as played and Game result will be decided by DLS rule of scoring app (Cricheroes) .
- Player should play at least one league game for the team to play in finals
- Player retire hurt/out is allowed . Retired player should bat after all other batsman are played.
- Umpire decision is final
- No restrictions (leg side / off side max no.of fielders) on field
- Batting team will do the umpiring duties.
- Two overs will be reduced in the teams innings for every 10 mins delay caused by the team
- Minimum 6 players need to be on the field in order to start a game.if both teams have >=6 players , the scheduled game will start with the available no.of players.
- Your Team gets a walkover with 2 Points & WIN If the Opponent team does not have 6 or more players.
- Fielding teams captain can ask for a maximum of three substitute fielders from opponent team to field(if they are <9 and >=6) .
- Team captains should submit player squad(max 12 entries per team) playing the tournament for their team by 9:00 pm 29th Nov 2024 (Friday) . No changes / replacement allowed in playing squad after this deadline.
- No Tie/draw games . Teams will play super over games until the result comes out. The same set of 3 batsmen can’t play in second super over if it happens, same rule for bowlers, The same bowler is not allowed to bowl in second super over.
- Boundary length : We play for 50 meter straight , 46 meter backward square leg and 48 meters square and cow corner , covers.
- Games will happen for 8 wickets per innings. In case of uneven teams on field follow our existing VCL rule. Example : 7 vs 9, the game happens for 8 wickets(last man bats if team plays with <=8 wickets) . Team with 9 players will rotate their batsmen until they fall 8 wickets.
