PURI CLUB WINTER CRICKET LEAGUE 2024

To The Captain/Manager of ___________ Team,

Its a great pleasure that PURI CLUB is going to organise a short boundary cricket tournament on 19th & 20th of December 2024 at Puri Club premises. We invite you to participate in this tournament.

Date - 19th to 20th December 2024

Venue - Puri Club premises

Entry Fees - 200 per player 

RULES -

1) The tournament will comprise of 7 teams in total, 

2) The team will be penalized with either deduction of 5 runs or a deduction of atleast 0.3 overs, if it fails to report by the scheduled time.

3) Teams are requested to be present at the venue 30mins prior to the schedule. Walkover time is 15mins from the scheduled time.

4) The opening match of each day will start precisely at 3.00 pm

5) The top 4 teams  with the highest points after the completion of league matches will play Qualifier 1 , Qualifier 2 and Eliminator Respectively. The Winner of Q1 will be played between Top 2 teams  of the league and winner will be directly advance to the final. The 3rd and 4th position of the league  will play the eliminator. The Winner of Eliminator And the losser of Q1 will play Qualifier 2. 

The Winner Of Q2 will advance to final. 

6) If there is a tie in points, then the team with higher NRR (Net Run Rate) will qualify to the semifinals.

7) The league games will be of 10 Overs each, maximum one bowler can bowl 2overs.

8) The Playoffs will be of 12overs each, maximum 2 bowlers can bowl 2overs each. The Final will be of 15 overs each, maximum 2 bowlers can bowl 3 overs each.

9) A team has to submit its playing 11 at the start of every match. However, it can only field 9 fielders on the field. A team can't include players directly in the Playoffs. The players that have played atleast 1 match in the league matches can play in the Playoffs.

10) Crichereos will be used as the score tracking app, and it will chose the player of the match for all the games.

11) In addition, crichereos will also determine best batsman, best bowler and player of the tournament.

12) Green vicky soft tennis balls will be used throughout the tournament. Similarly all types of wooden bats may be used by the participating teams. NO PLASTIC BATS ALLOWED.

13) A new ball will be used to begin each innings. Additionally, play will resume with a used ball, if the ball is lost/damaged in the middle of the game.

14) Cricket appropriate attire is required for players to enter the playing area. Especially, HALF PANTS, JEANS, SANDALS are NOT ALLOWED.

15) If there are any interruptions, the game might be played the same day or the day after. The game will resume from where it was left off.

16) DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) method shall be utilized to determine the winner of a match, if it cannot be resumed for any reason.

NOTE :

NO other outside players are allowed except the players of designated team organistion. 

NO use of abusive language on the field.

If any team/team members found intoxicated, the team will be disqualified from the tournament.

All international rules except LBW & Leg byes are allowed.

Bowling - Round Arm Medium or Slow Spin Will be allowed. 

 *N. B* - No Choking In pace is allowed. 

All the decisions of the on field umpires are final. 

In case of conflict, organising committee will take the final decision.
