Tournament Rules

Format

1. The 3 teams shall play a round robin league.
2. Each match will be of 15 overs / innings (League & Finals).
3. The top two teams will qualify to play the Finals.
4. Yellow Vicky ball will be used for all matches
5. 2 points will be awarded for a match win.
6. In case of a He, a super-over will be played to determine the
winner.
a. If the scores in the super-over are Hed, the winner will be
decided by the number of boundaries scored in the superover.
b. If that is also Hed, the winner will be decided by the toss
of coin.
7. During the league stage if all 3 teams end with 1 win each, the
CricHeroes app determining the top two teams based on NRR
will be considered for deciding the finalists.
8. The organiser shall decide the line-up of matches, and teams
shall follow the schedule without excepHon.
a. The winner of the first match shall play the third team, to
ensure the relevancy of the third league match.

Batting

9. The decision to bat or bowl in a match will be decided by the
toss of coin that gives the winner of the toss the choice to bat
or bowl first.

Bowling

10. In each innings, 3 bowlers from the bowling side will be
allowed to bowl a maximum of 3 overs each. The remaining 6
overs may bowled by 3 or more bowlers with no bowler
exceeding 2 overs.
11. Umpires will be fully empowered to call out suspect
bowling acHon (such as bowling with a bent arm that is seen as
a throw down).
a. In such a situaHon, the umpire shall give a warning to the
fielding capHon on the maWer, and if the parHcular bowler
sends down any delivery with a suspect acHon, he will be
required to be taken out of the aWack and replaced by
another bowler to complete that over. The suspended
bowler will NOT be permiWed to bowl for the rest of the
innings.

Fielding

12. Power-play will be enforced in the first 3 overs of each
innings wherein only two fielders will be allowed outside the
25-yard circle (marked on the field).
13. In the remaining 12 overs a maximum of 5 fielders may be
placed outside the circle.

Umpiring

14. Neutral umpires (not represenHng any of the teams) will
be officiaHng the matches. They will be fully empowered to take
all on-field decisions as well as ensure the decorum is
maintained at all Hmes.
15. Calling of no-balls / wide balls will be solely based on the
judgement of the umpires.
16. In case of any clarificaHons on umpiring, only the captains
shall have the discussion with the umpires, and if any issues
needs to be escalated to the organisers, only the umpires and
the captains may do so.
17. Runner will not be permiWed in the case of any injury
sustained by any batsman.
Dismissals
18. The umpiring shall comply with all standard ICC cricket
rules with regard to dismissals.
19. However, there will be no Leg Before Wicket (LBW)
dismissals.
20. Hence, no leg byes will be awarded.

Scoring

21. The on-field umpires shall maintain the scoring on the
CricHeroes app.
22. The app will also determine Man of the Match of each
match, and Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Most Valued Player of
the League.
