Tournament Rules and Regulations
1) Organizers
1.01 The Tournament is Trinco T20 Cricket League 2025, Season -03, (TT20) in collaboration with local tennis teams in Trincomalee.
1.02 The Organizing Committee (TS40-TDCDS with contact details will be provided along with the Matches Schedule.
2) Participations
2.01 Any Violation by any Team, including Players from Other districts apart from Trincomalee, will disqualify that Team from the Tournament without any Entry-fee reimbursement.
2.02 Teams are required to provide a list of a maximum of 20 Players with a photograph. All Players will be registered under the CRICHEROS App with a unique registration number and other related details.
2.03 Teams must play with their own Jersey (T-shirts, Track pants with shoes (No shorts are allowed).
3) Tournament Format
3.01 There will be 12 teams participating in the Tournament divided into two groups with Teams of each group playing each other in a round-robin league format.
3.02 The top two Teams from each group will proceed to sup based on Points/run rate.
3.03 All matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons.
3.04 Morning Matches has to start from 8:00 am and Afternoon matches from 2:00 pm.
3.05 All Matches will be of 20 Overs
3.06 1st Quarter final 2nd Quarter will be played on the same date final will be another day.
3.07 All Teams are expected to respect the Tournament rules and adhere to the Tournament set-up.
4) Rules & Regulations
4.01 League Matches - Each bowler can bowl 4 overs maximum.
4.02 There will be a Powerplay of 6 overs for a 20-over match.
4.03 During the Power Plays In most domestic leagues and international Twenty20 cricket, the first six overs of an innings will be a mandatory powerplay, with only two fielders allowed outside the 20-yard circle. Beginning with the seventh over, no more than five fielders will be allowed outside the 30-yard circle
4.04 A maximum of 5 fielders are allowed to field on either side of the wicket excluding Keeper and Bowler.
4.05 All No-balls will be free hit. Front foot, full toss above hip height & and bouncer above shoulder, illegal bowling action & and violating fielding restrictions will be a No-Ball.
4.06 There will be no LBW.
4.07 Every game must be fair and played in good spirits, and the batting team will officiate.
4.08 Umpire’s Decision will be Final.
4.09 Only captains will be permitted to communicate with the umpires in the event of a disagreement or conflict; if necessary, the umpires may then confer with the organizing committee.
4.10 Wicket wicketkeeper can come to bowl directly after an over end.
4.11 Online Scoring will be done in Cricheros app.
4.12 once a team member has been named as part of one team, he will NOT be allowed to play for another team in the tournament.
4.13 Thirty minutes before to the start time, every player on both sides should be there. Five minutes before the start time, the toss should be completed.
4.14. There are no impact players in this tournament
4.14 One over will be subtracted from the opponent team if they are ten minutes late for the start time, and then every five minutes after that. The opposing team will be proclaimed the winner if they are more than thirty minutes late.
4.15 The game cannot begin unless all eleven team members are present.
4.16 The list of playing XI must be finalized before the toss by both team captains.
4.17 No special Bats or Single-piece bats are allowed in the tournament.
4.18 Winy or Dunlop balls will be used for all-day matches and yellow balls during matches.
4.19 One new ball will be provided for each inning of the match and will be changed only upon damage to the play beyond playing condition, which will be decided mutually among captains/umpires.
4.20 Each winning team will be awarded 2 points for winning, and in the case of a tie, 1 point will be awarded to each team during league matches.
4.21 In case of a Tie during the league, Q1, Q2, and Final, there will be one super over until the clear result.
4.22 A substitute player will not be allowed to bat/bowl. A substitute fielder will be allowed for only the initial 3 overs; if the player does not reach by that time, then the team has to play with fewer players. Substitute fielders can only field at any time during the match.
4.23 Request all players to play fair under all circumstances.
4.24 Captains are responsible for avoiding any misbehavior on the field, such as abusing a player or umpire or indulging in any activities that may cause unnecessary problems.
4.25 All players should carry with them a valid ID case; in the event of any legal issues arising, the TS40 Organizing Committee will not be responsible.
5) Participating Fee, Prizes & Awards
Each team must pay LKR 15,000.00 as a participating fee.
6) Benefits, Prizes & Awards
1. Winning Team – Cash Prize. LKR 50,000.00 + Designer Trophy.
2. Runner’s Team – Cash Prize. LKR 30,000.00 + Designer Trophy.
3. Individual Prizes
a. Man of the Match for finals—Trophy
b. Man of the Series—Trophy
c. Best Batsman & Best Bowler of the Tournament – 2 Trophies
D. MVP awards will be awarded in every match.
