Basic Box Cricket Rules

1. Team Composition: Each team will consist of 8 players. In case a team is short of players, the team captain may select someone from the Unique Ashiyana family to fill in. However, the selected player will only be allowed to field for that team.

2. Match Format: Matches will be 8 overs per side.

3. Bowling Rules: Each player is permitted to bowl a maximum of 1 over, except for one designated bowler who is allowed to bowl up to 2 overs. In situations where a team is short of players, a maximum of 2 overs per player is allowed.

4. Dismissals: Standard cricket rules apply, including bowled, caught, run-out, and stumped.

5. No Ball/Free Hit: Overstepping or height violations result in a no-ball, followed by a free hit.

6. Wide Ball: A delivery will be called a wide ball if it is out of line on the leg side or off side. However, on the off side, a ball over the line will be considered valid.

7. Fielding Restrictions: A maximum of 2 players are allowed to stand behind the non-striker's stumps.

8. Excessively Fast Ball: If a bowler delivers an excessively fast ball, the umpire will issue a warning on the first occurrence. If it happens again in the same over, it will be called a no-ball at the umpire's discretion.

9. Tie-Breaker: A super over will decide tied matches.

10. The Semi-Final and Final matches will consist of 10 overs per side.

11. Umpire Name: it will be declared on tournament day

12. Fair Play: Aggressive behaviour, unsportsmanlike conduct, or argument with the umpire will result in disqualification.
