MIND Super Six Cricennis Tournament 2020

Note:- The tournament shall be organized at SMASHTRESS SPORTS COMPLEX CRICKET GROUND, SECTOR 122, NOIDA  [https://goo.gl/maps/b5o6hNcFY39vCQ278]

Tournament Format: Tournament will be played on knockout basis. Each team in the tournament consists of 10 players (8 playing 2 Extra). Any 8 players among 10 can bat, and any player can bowl with a limit of 3 overs per bowler. All matches will be 8 overs a side.

Reporting Time: The full composition of a team has to be present 10 minutes before the start of their game. Failing to do so will result in an automatic loss of toss for the team in question.

Incase both teams are short of players, then the one with more players present on the ground at the start of the game will be declared toss winners.

Players: All teams need to declare a roster of 10 players. Only players announced on the roster will be eligible to play. A team will be disqualified if it plays with a player not on the roster. If a team’s roster is severely depleted for any reason, then organizing committee can make an exception and allow the team to fill in additional players.

At no time, the number of players on roster of a team will exceed 10. A player cannot play for more than one registered team.

Playing kit: The teams playing the match should wear the sports wears along with sport shoes. No cricket spikes are allowed.

LBW: To prevent controversy, there will not be Leg before wicket out.

Byes/Leg-byes: Byes, leg byes and overthrows are possible means of scoring runs.

No-Balls: ICC rules for no balls will be applied. Every no ball shall follow a free-hit. With the change of ICC rules, dead balls are also considered as No-Ball. i.e. a ball that bounces twice before the batting crease shall be considered as No ball instead of Dead ball.

Wide-Balls: Lines will be marked on either side of wickets to assist umpires and the balls going away from those lines will be called wide.

Last Player Batting: A team will be all out only if their 8 players are out. There will be last player batting but he has to take 2 runs minimum, the runner at non striking end can be any member of his team and can be dismissed at either end.

Injury to Bowler: If a bowler is injured after bowling few deliveries, then a player who has not taken any wicket will complete that over or a player who has taken lesser numbers of wickets.

Retirement of Players: A player who scores 31 runs will have to retire (player playing on 30 runs can score minimum of 1 run & maximum of 6 runs). He can resume batting after the fall of 7th wicket. If 7 players are out and the last batsman or his non-striker scores a 31, then he need not retire until the match ends.

Substitutions: Substitutions may be allowed if the umpires agree that the injury has occurred during the match (to one of the eight playing members).

Results: If a game is tied at the end of both the innings during a knockout match, then the team that lost lesser number of wickets will win. If the number of wickets lost is also the same, then the team that played fewer overs to score the runs will win. After this, a bowl out by 3 players/bowlers will decide the winner.
