Tournament Format
Teams will be divided into 3 groups of 3 teams each. Each team will play one match each against their group opponents with the top (3 teams) of the each group making it to the semifinals. Top of the losers from all 3 groups will be the 4th team in the semifinals. The fixtures along with the route to the finals will be shared in a different document.
League Matches
League matches will be played for (8 + 1) overs a side. Each team will have to finish their quota of 9 overs in 40 minutes. Bowlers can bowl a maximum of two overs.
Semi Final and Final
Matches will be played for (9 + 1) overs. Each team will have to finish their quota of 9 overs in 45 minutes. Bowlers can bowl a maximum of two overs.
General Rules
• Each team needs to be present at the venue 60 min before their game and report to the organizers with their playing 11 and substitutes list. If a team is late for the match, every 5 mins 1 over would be reduce for the same. If team doesn’t report 20 min into the schedule start the match will be forfeited.
• Reporting time is 45 minutes before the start of play as per the fixture. In case there are less than 8 players, then the opposite team will be given a walkover. The teams are required to adhere to timings to avoid disappointment and no excuses, as we must complete all the league matches in the stipulated time.
• 5 minutes rest between the innings. Teams are requested to resume the game as quickly as possible.
• Teams can include any number of women players in the team. However, it is mandatory to have a one-woman player (Diva) in playing XI. Regular cricket rules will be applicable to woman player as well.
o Diva player will be bowling to opponent diva player every first over of the match.
o One run scored will considers as one actual runand continue to bat even if the player gets out (no negative runs for getting out)
o If team does not Diva player in their playing XI, opponent team will get 10runs bonus runs.
o If Diva bowler, bowls wide ball. Then ball will be counted awarding the bating team with 2 runs. If it is a No Ball (only over stepping and ball above the waist), then it has to be re bowled awarding bating one run.
o Including blower and keeper 1st over will have maximum of 8 player
o If a batting team is 9 wicket down and Diva player will come to bat and face regular bowler
- No player can play in more than one team during the tournament, if it happens - the entire team will be disqualified.
