RBC Winter Trophy – 2024
Official Rules & Regulations
Welcome to the RBC Winter Trophy 2024! Below are the rules every team and player
must follow to ensure a fair and enjoyable tournament. These guidelines apply to all
teams and must be strictly adhered to.
• Overs: Each match will consist of 15 overs, played with a “hard tennis” cricket ball.
• Power Play: The first four overs are the power play, allowing only three fielders
outside the inner circle.
• Fielding Restrictions:
- After the power play, five fielders can field outside the inner circle.
- A maximum of five fielders is allowed on the leg side, excluding the bowler.
• Scoring Extras: Byes, leg byes, and overthrows are allowed.
- No-Ball: A full toss above waist height or the stumps will be considered a no-ball.
- No free hit Is awarded for a no-ball.
• Bowling Rules:
- Five bowlers must bowl in each match; each will bowl three overs maximum.
- Bouncers:
- One bouncer per over is allowed; a second bouncer will be considered a no-ball.
- A bouncer above head height will be called a wide.
• Bowlers do not need to notify the umpire of their delivery style.
• If a batsman plays a reverse sweep, the bowler can legally bowl within the wide line, on
either the offside or leg side.
• Punctuality:
- Each team must have at least eight players present for the toss.
- If a team is late, one over will be deducted from both teams for every five-minute
delay.
• Retired Hurt: A batsman retired hurt may only return after the 9th wicket falls.
• Team Arrival: Teams must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
• Wicketkeeper: The wicketkeeper is permitted to bowl.
If the match ends in a draw, a Super Over will determine the winner.
Each team will send in three batsmen, and the Super Over will end if two wickets fall.
- 3. Player Transfers & Squad Rules
• No Transfers: Transferring players between teams is prohibited. Any team violating
this will be disqualified.
• Squad Limit: Each team may have up to 20 players. Only players from RAK Ceramics,
Group Co., and ARC are eligible, with a maximum of two ex-RAK Ceramics employees
allowed.
• Player Registration: Teams must submit their complete player list, including file
numbers and mobile numbers before the tournament begins.
- 4. Umpiring & Sportsmanship
• Final Decisions: Umpires' decisions are final and binding.
• Umpiring Assistance: Each captain should designate a player familiar with umpiring
duties.
• Power Play Attendance: All team members must be present before the end of the
power play. Late arrivals must join the game with the players already on the field.
• Eligibility for Playoff Rounds: A player must participate in at least one league-stage
match to be eligible for the Super Eight, semifinals, or final match.
• A1 vs. B4 (Match-1)
• A2 vs. B3 (Match-2)
• A3 vs. B2 (Match-3)
• A4 vs. B1 (Match-4)
• Match 1 Winner vs. Match 3 Winner
• Match 2 Winner vs. Match 4 Winner
The final match will be held at Al Salaha Sports Ground.
In case of an injury or any other unavoidable situation, the match will be paused and
resumed from where it left off on a later day.
Any team member who engages in unsportsmanlike conduct or misbehavior will lead to the
direct disqualification of the entire team.
All teams and players must follow these rules without exception to maintain a
smooth and fair tournament.
