Other Details

  • Common Rules
  • The decision of umpires - on field will be final and binding.
  • Any controversy or objection to that will NOT be entertained.
  •  There will be one official scorer for every match whose records will be taken as final.
  • The tournament will be played with a light tennis ball.
  • Team members can carry their own wooden bats. Fiber bates are strictly NOT allowed.
  • 10 players will play per team on the field.
  • All matches will be 5 overs a side.
  • The maximum number of overs a bowler can bowl is 1.
  • The 1st Over of the match will be bowled by female player from both teams.
  • Both opening batsmen for each team will be female players.
  • Both female openers must face the entire 1st Over.
  • If either of the female openers is dismissed during this over, she will remain on the field, and the strike will change as per normal cricket rules. Runs scored on a ball where a female opener is dismissed will not be counted.
  • A female player who gets out in the first over will be replaced by a male player in the subsequent over, while any female player who remains not out will continue to bat in the next over.
  • The batting team will select their Powerplay between overs 2 and 4.
  • A Free Hit will follow a no ball, but runouts are still valid.
  • Fast bowling is not permitted during the match.

  • Declare Runs

  • 4 runs and 6 runs are declared if the ball hits on bounce or directly to the net exactly opposite of batsman hitting the ball.
  • Rest all runs need to be taken by running between the wickets.
  • Ball getting deflected from side nets to boundary net will be considered as 4 runs.

  • Field Restrictions
  • A maximum of 5 fielders can be present at any time behind the bowler.
  • 3 on the boundary and 2 in between bowler and boundary fielders.
  •  3 fielders in between two ends i.e., bowling and batting.

  • Mode of Dismissals
  •  Stumps bowled by the bowler.
  •  Ball in the air Caught out by the fielding team.
  • On-strike batsman can be stumped out by wicketkeeper.
  •  Either batsman can be run out by the fielding team.
  • Stumping on no ball will not be considered.
  • If the keeper collects the ball before it passes the stumps for the stumping, then stumping will be not valid.

  • Extra Runs
  • Wide = 1 Run, No Ball = 1 Run.
  • Extra runs for No Ball, Wide, Byes, Leg Byes, Over-throw are applicable. Run taken on a No ball/ wide ball will be counted in addition to the No ball/ Wide ball run.
  • Rules regarding No Ball:
  •  Full tossed ball above waist height
  •  Ful tossed ball directly behind stump (Wicket Keeper)
  • Ball going above batsman’s shoulder after first bounce.
  • Touching bowling line - bowler should bowl standing within the bowling crease.
  • Ball outside of the crease (Pitch) will be declared as No Ball
  • There will be No line in between the crease, ball pitched before/touched the line declared as No.
  •  Change of bowling side or wicket keeper without notice of umpire
  •  Run-out on No-ball - Runs, wicket and ball will be counted.
  • Run-out on Wide – Runs and wicket will be counted.

  • Bowling Rule
  • All feet should be within the box while bowling.
  • Side arm action is not allowed. All side arm ball will be considered as no-ball.
  • While bowling, the arm/wrist of the bowler should be below waist height.
  • You cannot argue with on-field umpire regarding this rule.
  • Bowling style will be under-arm for men & women

  • Batting Rule
  •  One foot should always be within the batting crease while hitting.
  • In case you fail to do this, that run won’t be added to your run tally, but the ball will be counted. Also, if you lose your wicket on this ball that wicket will also be counted.

  • Points Calculation
  • Group Stage
  • 2 Points for Winner
  • In case of Tie – 1 Super Over. In case of Tie during Super Over – Tally of boundaries will be calculated. In case of Tie in boundaries – Number of Wickets will be calculated. In case of Tie in number of wickets – the team who won the toss will be declared as winner.
  •  Semi’s & Final
  • In case of tie - 1 Super Over
  •  In case of tie in Super Over, we will have one more super over.
  •  In case of tie during second super over, we will go for third super over.
  •   In case of tie during third super over we will then follow the group stage rule.

  • Note: - All the teams should be present at least 20 minutes before their match
