SSPU Champions League - Tournament Rules

1. Team Composition:

Each team must consist of 7 + 1  players.Teams can be boys’ teams or girls’ teams.A team must designate a captain who will be responsible for all communications with the organizers.

2. Match Format:

The tournament will follow a league format, meaning each team will play multiple matches.Matches will be played with 7 players on each side, and each match will consist of 4 overs per innings.Each innings must be completed within 15 minutes by the bowling team.Matches will be played with a soft tennis ball.

3. Overs and Bowling:

Each bowler is allowed to bowl a maximum of 1 over.No-balls and wides will result in an extra run and an extra ball.

4. Batting:

Retired hurt or other substitutions due to injury are allowed with the permission of the umpire.

5. Scoring:

Standard cricket rules apply for runs (e.g., 4s and 6s), with boundary lines clearly marked.In the event of a tie, a super over will decide the winner.Scores will be updated live on the CricHeroes app for real-time tracking and transparency.

6. Umpiring and Decisions:

The organizers will not be held responsible for any umpire decisions and will not interfere with or influence the umpire’s judgment.

The umpire’s decision is final and binding, and no one can overturn or challenge the umpire's decision.Any disagreements or disputes will be handled by the umpire and umpire only organizer will not be responsible and won’t interfere.

 7. Conduct:

All players must maintain sportsmanship and respect for the opposition and officials.Verbal abuse, sledging, or physical altercations will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament.

8. Timekeeping:

Teams must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start of their match.A delay of more than 10 minutes will result in the forfeiture of the match.Bowling teams must finish their allotted 4 overs within 15 minutes.

9. Bowling Guidelines:

A demonstration of the bowling rules and techniques will be provided on the field prior to the commencement of the matches. This will ensure all participants are familiar with the regulations and format specific to the tournament.  

10. Payment Guidelines:

If you have paid the fees for your team then it is important to carry a screen shot with you, if any of the team is unable to verify that their payment is completed then their entire team will be disqualified
