RULES FOR THE INTER-DEPARTMENT CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2019-20
•The playing XI must consist of those players who were mentioned in the registration form.
• A department team should only consist of players from the same department as the team itself.
However, a department is allowed to include maximum 3 players from outside it's course in the Playing XI. These players should not be the active part of the College Cricket Team.
The team is also allowed to include 1 College Cricket Team player from other courses in their playing XI, if they wish to, which may not belong to the same department.
• Therefore, for players other than those belonging to same department either can have all 3 players from other department( who are not the part of college cricket team) or can have the combination of 2 such players and 1 player from other department who is the part of college cricket team.
• A team should play at least 8 players from their own department in their XI.
• A department team can consist of College Cricket Team players if they belong to the same department as the 
team. 
• For the hostel cricket team,all the players featuring in the playing 11 should be the part of hostel and only 1 player from college cricket team who is not the part of the hostel is allowed to feature in the playing XI.
• The union team can include two players from college cricket team of any department and the Union Xl is allowed to take part only in the initial knockout matches(not in the semifinal stage)
• No player is allowed to take part in the tournament from two different teams(except those in the Union Xl).In such case, the whole team will be disqualified.
• Replacements of injured players should be chosen from the 15 man squad. No replacements from outside the 15 man squad will be allowed to play a match.
Incase of an extraordinary situation, the Organising Committee will take the final call on the situation.
• Each player must wear Proper White cricket dress during the match,Atleast white jerseys are compulsory.
• For the safe conduction of the tournament,all the players are requested to wear proper protective 
gears.Also,spikes shoes are not allowed while batting and bowling.
• The organising team will provide every team with 2 pairs of batting pads,gloves,thigh guard and two helmets and a pair of keeping pads,gloves,inners and a helmet which must be duly returned by the team otherwise fine would 
be charged.
• The decision of the umpires must be respected and all the participants are required to play with the spirit of the 
game.
• The decision of the Organizing Committee will be final and binding.
No arguments and banter of any sort will be tolerated. If such an incident occurs, the team may be ousted from the ongoing tournament, or be penalized, or both.
If a team finds the opposition breaking any of the above rules,they can complain with an application to the sports committee.
