Dear brothers,
We intend to conduct the tournament under the following terms.
1. Eight teams (12 or 13 member squads)
2. Teams will be divided as to 2 pools of 4 each, and matches will be conducted on league basis where a team must play 3 matches in the group stage. Pool and fixture has already been shared.
3. Two teams from each pool, as per their standings after the league stage shall proceed to the semifinals and thereafter the winners of the semifinals shall proceed to the finals.(marked in the fixture)
4. The match shall be played on rolled/hard soil wicket.
5. The matches shall be played with one end fixed as batting end. Batsmen has to switch the ends after the end of an over.
6. We have opted for semi-hard tennis balls of pink shade for the tournament. The ball shall weight 120 -130 gms. Games shall be played with balls in semi new condition. The skin of the new balls if brought into a game will be rubbed off before use in play.
7. As per plan, we intend to start the matches by 7.45 am and finish the entire proceedings by 6 pm.
8. Transportation to/from the ground/lodging facilities shall be arranged from/to the pick up/drop off points i.e. railway station or bus stand as per your mode of travel, shall be arranged.
9. Lodging will be provided to any team or player who has requested the same. In cases where lodging is requested.
10. A team may or may not include a player who has represented the state in interstate tournaments at the senior level or ranji trophy. Each team shall not include more than one player of the above said status in the final 11 for the matches at any stage of the tournament.
11. As known to all, this tournament is a self funded event. Contributions shall be taken players at Rs 400 per player.
