JJPL CRICKET CUP (Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament)

The tournament will be conducted on 23rd Feb & 1st March 2020

 at National College Grounds Jayanagar 

Rules & Regulations:

1 1) There will be total 6 teams divided into 2 groups In presence of Team Owners , Icon s’ & Organizers

2 2) Each Group will consist of 3 teams and will play league matches with opposite group. Each team to play 3 league matches of 12 overs each.

3) Top 4 teams from both the  groups combined  will qualify for semi finals 

4) 1st SF will be between No 1 team vs No 4 team after final league standings. No 2 team will play number 3 team.

5) All Matches will be of 12 overs(2 bowlers to bowl 3 overs max & 3 bowlers to bowl 2 overs max ). 

6) No Team in any Circumstance can give Walkover, any team doing so will be fined Rs. 5000/- 

7) 2 points will be awarded to winning team & 0 to losing team in league stage. In case of Tie super over will be mandatory (in all stages) & incase of rain 1 point will be awarded to each team (till league stage). In Play Offs in case of rain committee will take final decision on further availability of ground.

8) In qualifying round if the team stands with equal no of points then the team with better NRR will qualify for the Knock Out .The equation for working the run rate is Total no of runs scored minus total no of runs given by a playing team divided by total no of allotted overs. (For more clarity on NRR the teams can approach the umpire   and the organizers before the start of the tournament).

9) All teams should wear cricketing gears with white/cream/blue track pant(Full team should wear same colour) & T shirt provided by organiser.

10) All normal cricket rules will be applicable 

11) No chuck bowling will be allowed. Umpires if feel so will take a call on the same.

12) In all games Power play first 4 Overs will be compulsory power play (2 fielders to be allowed outside the circle for first 2 overs & 3 fielders for 3rd & 4th over ) . 

13) All different bowlers to be used in power play

14) Teams have to get their own kits. Organizers will provide only balls. 

15) Teams should report 20minutes before the scheduled start. If a team arrives after the schedule start, then 1 over for every 4 minutes will be deducted for Maximum of 20 Mins for the team arriving late and if incase the team does not report within 20 mins from the start of play then the match will be awarded to the team present as walk over. In case of walk over the team present will be awarded 2 points (Refer again to Point 5 for walkover Policy).

16) No team will be allowed to change any players after selecting the same in cricheros app after the toss. Scoring will be done live on cricheros app and manual both.

17) Each team will be awarded 70 minutes for an innings.

18) Wide rule for reverse/switch hit will remain as per original stance only.

19) To play a match minimum of 9 players should be available otherwise the match will be awarded as walk over to the opposite team. (Point no 5 will apply)

20) Umpires decision has to be respected and if in case of any dispute organizers decision will be final.

21) Any kind of misbehavior will not be tolerated and depending on the gravity of the offence, the organizers reserve the rights to ban a particular player or Team.

22) If a Player found arguing with Captains/Umpires/Committee, Fine will be charged (Rs. 500/-) and/or may be Barred from Playing future matches, fine needs to be deposited to committee for him to play next match.

       

       20) Captains need to make sure Match is played in right Spirit & ensures his team is co-operating with other Team                                         Members/captains. No one is allowed to speak on ground except both Captains in case of any issue.

      21) If you foresee any issue with anyone on ground, it is individual’s responsibility to bring to the Notice of Committee, rather than trying to solve the issue on their own.

22) No drink and play will be allowed. Also smoking will not be allowed in the ground.

23) All players can play in a match. Any eleven of 14 can bat or bowl. Only 11 to field with rotation allowed if opted by fielding captain.

24) All no balls will be treated as free hit.

25) No LBW is applicable & no leg byes is allowed, however run out will be applicable if run is attempted on leg byes.
