TBW WiSCL 2024 Tournament unfolds in TWO thrilling phases: Talent Hunt / Live Cricket Audition & League Matches and Knockouts

Talent Hunt / Live Cricket Audition Process:

• Here's where the excitement amplifies – Batters step up to the crease to face a challenging set of 18 balls from six diverse bowlers. The twist? Even if they're dismissed, they're not out of the game; they keep batting, though each dismissal deducts 5 runs from their total score. It's a true test of resilience and skill, with only declared runs like 2, 4, and 6s being counted during the audition.

• Bowlers aren't left behind in this rigorous evaluation. They bowl 18 balls to six different batters, and their performance is meticulously assessed based on the runs they concede and the wickets they claim. It's a perfect opportunity for bowlers to demonstrate their precision and strategic prowess.

• Fielders, the unsung heroes, are also put to the test. Their agility, reflexes, and accuracy contribute to a comprehensive assessment of cricketing talent. Every catch, throw, and sprint counts in this all-encompassing evaluation.

• TBW WiSCL Tournament rules add an exciting twist with the inclusion of LBW, or leg before wicket, as one of the dismissal methods. This rule not only challenges the batters to be more skillful but also allows bowlers to grab wickets, adding a strategic layer to the game. However, ‘Leg bye runs’ are not allowed during the Audition.

• The umpires' decisions stand as the ultimate authority, ensuring fairness and integrity throughout the audition and league stages. Their verdicts are final at any stage of the competition, upholding the spirit of the game.

• The auditions are scheduled from 3 PM to 10 PM, with players allocated specific time slots on their designated dates. This structured approach guarantees a fair and organised assessment of each participant's abilities, making sure that every talent gets the spotlight it deserves.

The culmination of the Talent Hunt is as thrilling as the event itself – the top performers are not only recognized but rewarded. The Top-100 Most Valuable Players (MVPs) receive Prize Money, as determined by the organisers, providing not just recognition but also a tangible reward for their hard work and talent.
