RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE WINTER TOURNAMENT:

 

1. Only Special Teams of Members and Member’s son above 21 years of age will be allowed to take part in this Winter Cricket Tournament.

2. The tournament will be played with the tennis ball green in colour.

3. The tournament will start at 7.00 a.m. on wards and 5.30p.m. daily.

4. The tournament is open only for members of the club, their family, and member’s son above 21 years of age will be allowed to play with prior permission.

5. The tournament shall be conducted by a committee appointed for the purpose.

6. The decision of the committee will be final and binding in all respects.

7. The committee reserves the right to select the teams.

8. The committee reserves the right to change the rules (if required), regarding the tournament.

9. Children below 16 years of age are not allowed to participate in the tournament.

10. Every player must remain present on the ground 30 min. before the time of commencement of the match.

11. Players are allowed to bring their own bats which are normal cricket bats allowed in the various tournaments Fancy bats like Mongoose bat, Fiber bats etc. will not be allowed in the tournament.. However, the club will also provide standard size bats.

12. The entry form should be complete in all respects, duly signed by the participant and the member and handed over at the club office along with the entry fee. Forms without entry fee will not be accepted.

13. Member’s sons up to the age of 21 years must attach a Xerox copy of birth certificate with entry form, and are required to present Their club identity cards.

14. All players are required to wear own sports shoes. T-Shirt will be provided by the club. Players wearing half pants or ¾ pants will not be allowed to play the matches.

15. A Single player cannot represent more than one team.

16. Misbehavior by any player will result in direct suspension of the team.

17. All matches will be played on Knock out - League basis for all the age groups.

18. 2 fielders will be allowed to field outside the inner circle for the first 3 overs of the match.

19. 4 fielders without w./k. and bowler should be inside the inner circle throughout the innings after 3 over’s.

20. All matches will be of 15 over’s each, In all age groups.

21. A Single bowler can bowl max. 3 over’s in the match in all age groups.

22. If a player remains absent, nobody can play in his place and the team will have to play as “ Short of one player”.

23. In case of tie, five legal balls by different bowlers (1 ball each) without batsman will be bowled, Maximum hits to the stump will be the winner. In Case of tie again winner will be decided by spinning the coin.

24. A batsman, in all age groups, will retire after scoring 40 runs in a match.

25. Results for each match will be declared by the tournament committee.

26. The award ceremony will take place immediately after the finals at the club lawns.

27. In case of Rains:

A. In a knock –out round, if the first innings is not completed then a fresh match will be played as per the new schedule. If it rains in the second innings before completion of 7 over’s then a coin will be tossed and the winner will be declared. If it rains in the second innings after completion of 7 over’s then the team who has scored higher run’s at the end of 7 over’s will be declared winner, wickets lost will not be considered.

B. The decision of the tournament committee in consultation with the umpires shall stand final.

28. In a team, a maximum of 2 players can play from the higher age group .i.e. a player falling in the age Group of 36 years & above can play in the lower age group of 16 to 36 years.

29. During the tournament in a match, 2 balls will be used in a inning, the ball will be changed after the 7th over. However the umpire can change the ball any time during the innings due to visibility or condition of the ball.

30. Batsman’s Choice Over:

A. In a Match, Before starting of the Match, fielding Side has to nominate 5 (Five) Bowlers, Who will bowl atleast one Over before the Commencement of the 9th Over, the Batsman will get a choice to select any one bowler from the above nominated five bowlers to bowl one Over between the over no. 9 to 11.

B. In this Over runs scored by bat will be doubled and awarded as bonus runs and will be added in the team total. In case of loss of wicket in this over, batting side will lose 5Runs per every wicket

31. JACKPOT OVER:  Over no. 15 of every innings, will be a Jackpot over, in which runs scored by bat will be doubled and awarded as bonus runs and will be added in the team total. In case of loss of wicket in the Jackpot over, batting side will lose 5Runs per every wicket. While chasing, if the match goes in the Jackpot over (i.e.15th over) the whole over has to be completed and then the winner will be declared.

32. BONUS RUN’S:

A. If a bowler balls a maiden over in the inning, 2 bonus runs will be awarded to the bowling side.

B. If a batsman hits the ball for a boundary (i.e. a four) between the marked zone, 2 bonus runs will be awarded to the batting team (i.e. 4runs + 2bonus runs).The specified marked zone will be observed by the officials and their decision will be final.

C. However both the above rules will not be applicable in the Jackpot + Batsman’s Choice over of the inning.

D. Bonus runs awarded in the match will not be included in the batsman’s individual account.

33. The Prizes are:

A: Winner’s trophy in all the age group, Runner’s up trophy in all age groups, Man of the Series of the tournament Best Batsmen of the tournament in all the age groups. Best Bowler of the tournament in all age groups.

B: Winner Team will get a Cash Prize of Rs.10000/- & Runners-up Team will get a Cash Prize of Rs.5000/- in all the Age Groups.

34. Special prizes:-

A. For the batsman hitting maximum sixes in the tournament.

B. For the batsman hitting maximum fours in the tournament.

C. For a Hat-trick Wicket in the tournament.

35. In any dispute during match the Chief Referee decision will be final and binding to all.

36. Man of the Match for each match will be decided by the Chief Referee.

37. Entry Fees is nonrefundable in case of cancellation.

38. Club management has strictly decided that no practice will be allowed at the club lawn or the club premises.
