One of the most celebrated tournaments - Telangana Gold Cup - 2017 has reached to it’s final stage. An interesting semi-final was played on 18th Nov.’ 17 between Indur Icons (TCA) and Maheshwaram Challengers (TCA) at T.K.R. Grounds, Hyderabad.
Maheshwaram Challengers (TCA) won the toss and elected to field. Proving their decision right, team took some important wickets in early overs. Indus Icons (TCA) did not get much chance to score freely as team went on losing wickets at regular intervals. Maheshwaram Challengers (TCA) restricted the opponent at the score of 103 runs after losing all wickets in 17 overs. Highest scorer was Ilyas with 39 runs. Pick of the bowlers was Abdul Fareed form Maheshwaram Challengers (TCA), who took 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving 15 runs.
While chasing, Maheshwaram Challengers (TCA) played a wonderful innings. Players scored at a very good pace and managed to achieve the target in just 10.3 overs with the loss of 2 wickets. Highest scorers were Syed Chand Pasha and M Pratyush Kumar, who scored 38 and 28 runs respectively.
Maheshwaram Challengers (TCA) won the semi-final by 8 wickets against Indus Icons (TCA).
