U – 17 - RULES & REGULATION

1. All matches of this tournament will be played on league cum knock out basis on turf /astro turf wicket.
2. Cut-off date for the players will be 01-09-2000. The tournament shall be played in accordance with the law
of cricket (2000 code 5th Edition- 2013) of BCCI.

3. In league round, each team shall bat 30 over. 30 over shall be bowled in 120 minutes. Power play will for 6
over and a bowler can bowl max 6 over only.
4. Slow over rate will be penalised by the umpire during the match only. Any delay in match will result into
reduction of over allotted per side at the rate of 1 over per 4 completed minutes.
5. All team players are to submit following two ID proof during form submission only.
A. Bonafide Certificate (Original Compulsory)
B. Birth Certificate / Passport / Ration Card / Adhar Card (Photostat Compulsory)
C. Out of States 10th Mark sheet with DOB & Photo. (Original Compulsory Only sowing)
6. Each team shall report on ground 45 minutes before schedule match time with proper playing kit and white
uniform as it is a day tournament.
7. If any team reporting late by less than 1 hour, over shall be reduced for that team at the rate of 1 over for
every 4 completed minutes from scheduled time of the match.
8. If any team is late by 1 hour or more, the match shall be awarded to the opponent as ‘Walk over’.
9. If both the teams are reporting late by 1 hour or more, then over shall be reduced at the rate of 1 over for
every 4 completed minutes for both teams as the case may be.
10. If any player is found playing for more than one team, strict actions including termination of participation of
the team allowing the said player will be taken with immediate effect by the committee.
11. In case of any player found over-aged, proof of his fault will be rendered to the team manager/captain and
participation of his team will be terminated on the immediate ground. The performance of the entire team
players will become null and void for the content for any prize.
12. During league phase, the winner will get 2 points and the loser will get 0 point and in case of the match is
tie then both the teams will get “Super Over”.
13. In case the match is tie, the game shall be decided with the “Super Over” and in case, the result of “Super
Over” is also tie, then the match shall be decided by “Spin of Coin”.
14. If the first inning is completed, the second inning is also played up to power play and further play after the
power play does not become possible within 45 min due to any unforeseen reason, then team scoring max
runs in the power play will be the winner( Wicket does not count)
15. In case of unavoidable interruption, maximum extension of 1 hour to the start of the match shall be given
and if the play is still not possible, the result will be decided by ‘Spin of coin”.
16. In the event of team being all out in less than 35 over, the calculation of its net run rate shall be based on
the 35 over and not on the number of over in which the team was dismissed.

17. Protest if any, must be submitted in writing before the completion of the match/inning or within half an hour
after completion of the match to the jury of the committee along with the protest fee Rs. 5000/-. The protest
money will not be refunded unless the protest is ultimately upheld by jury of the committee.
18. In case of any protest filed against any player/team, original of the submitted Photostat document is to be
produced within two days after the intimation to the team. Jury of the committee will make use of submitted
documents only for all types of processes/decision during the tournament and no other document will be
produced before any team or player for any purpose by jury of the committee.
19. In the event of teams finishing on equal points in the point table at the end of the league phase, position of
the team will be decided as under: -
a) The team with the most number of wins.
b) If teams are still finishing equal, the team with the highest net run rate.
20. A team’s net run rate is calculated by deducting average runs per over scored by that team throughout the
competition from the average runs per over scored against that team throughout the competition.
21. There shall be no verbal discussion/argument with any official/ground staff on any disputed matter. It may
be communicated in writing to Organising Committee.
22. The decision of jury of committee/organising committee will be final, binding to all participating players/team
managements and it will not be challenged by anybody in any court of law or anywhere else.
23. Chewing of gutka / tobacco and smoking is strictly prohibited inside SGVP campus.
24. The organiser will not be responsible for any kind of loss/damage/injury to any person/player/property
during the tournament.
25. Misconduct/misbehaviour on or off the field by any player or coach /manager of any team will result into
termination of participation of that team in the tournament with immediate effect and matter will be reported
to the police for further necessary action.
26. Organizing committee reserves all the rights to make/change/amend any rule at any time during the
tournament.
