Cricket Rules:

We are super excited to announce the first sports activity of the Activator - RWA Championship 2023 event.

Date: Aug 12th and 13th, 2023

Location: Mohamed Sathak A.J. College of Engineering, Siruseri

The rules for the cricket matches are as follows:

1. Match Format: 8 overs per side (35 mins per side)

2. If the innings is delayed by more than 5 mins the bowling team will be enforced with fielding restriction of 3 players outside the circle for the pending overs

3. Bowling Restrictions: Each team must use 5 bowlers

3.1 3 bowlers 2 overs each

3.2 2 bowlers 1 over each

4. Players: Each team will consist of 11 players on the field

5. Impact Players: Teams are allowed to nominate up to 2 impact players

6. Ball: The match will be played with red tennis ball

7. Scoring: All conventional cricket rules apply, except for LBW and leg byes

8. Retired Players: No bye-runners allowed, batsman can only be retired out or retired hurt

9. Powerplay 2 overs with restriction of 4 players inside the 30 yard circle

10. In case of a Tie, teams will play the Super Over (1 over) and if the Super Over is a Tie we will declare winner with maximum fours

11. Team should report to be venue atleast 45 mins before the match schedule time, in case the team does not have 11 players during the scheduled time the opponent will be declared winners

12. Umpire decision is final, in case of dispute the organizing committee will take the final call
