Brampton RaidersNiagara T10 Tournament, herein referred to as “The Tournament”, shall be governed by the ICC Standard T20 International Match Playing Conditions modified for T10 and by the MCC Laws of Cricket (2017 CODE 2ND EDITION 2019) shall apply, and the Special Conditions of Niagara Cricket T10 Tournament shall apply except where specified in the Playing Conditions.
Note: All references to ‘Governing Body’ within the Laws of Cricket shall be replaced by ‘Niagara T10 Tournament Rules Committee’. The Tournament Committee reserves all rights to alter the Tournament format and/or structure as deemed and make necessary by circumstances beyond the control of the Tournament Committee, including but not limited to grounds, weather and light conditions. The tournament is hosted by Niagara Cricket Club Inc. (NCC) All teams, their management, support staff and players taking part in MCL Cricket events agree to the rules & regulations outlined. Any player or team in breach of the rules, spirit of cricket or bringing NCC or the game into disrepute will be terminated from entering or participating in the Niagara T10 Cricket tournament.
● Date : May 6 – May 14th
● Teams : 20 Teams
● Squad Size: No limit on registrations. Teams can register as many players as they need in this warmup tournament. No restrictions on 1 st class or national players. It’s an OPEN tournament with the effort to provide pre-season warm up to selected 20 Clubs and their players.
● Groups: Four Groups - 5 Teams per Group
● Matches: 4 Matches for each team in preliminary round – per schedule The Competition playing format will be a maximum of 10 overs per side with each bowler allowed to bowl no more than 2 overs in an innings.
● Power plays: First three (3) overs will be constituting a power play in which no more than two fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.
● In the event of a tie, the two teams will play a super over.
● D/L method will be used to determine the result of all interrupted matches.
● There will be 10 Points for a Win, 5 Point to each side in case of a draw and no points for a loss.
● IF the points are tie, NRR (net run rate) will be used to break the tie.
