*GFSL Tournament Format*
*Phase 1: Group Stage*
- 4 groups (A, B, C, D) with 4 teams each
- Each team plays 3 league matches against the other teams in their group
- Top 2 teams from each group advance to the Gold Cup group
- Bottom 2 teams from each group advance to the Silver Cup group
*Phase 2: Gold Cup and Silver Cup*
- *Gold Cup Group*: Top 2 teams from each group (8 teams total)
- Each team plays 7 league matches against the other teams in the group
- Top 4 teams advance to the semifinals
- Semifinal winners play in the Gold Cup Final
- *Silver Cup Group*: Bottom 2 teams from each group (8 teams total)
- Each team plays 7 league matches against the other teams in the group
- Top 4 teams advance to the semifinals
- Semifinal winners play in the Silver Cup Final
*Phase 3: Finals and Bronze Cup*
- *Gold Cup Final*: Winner of the Gold Cup group is crowned the GFSL Gold Cup champion
- *Silver Cup Final*: Winner of the Silver Cup group is crowned the GFSL Silver Cup champion
- *Bronze Cup*: Losing teams from the Gold Cup Final and Silver Cup Final play each other to determine the Bronze Cup winner
This format creates opportunity for each team to become the champion and also must be easy for you all to understand, and each team will know exactly what to expect at each stage of the tournament!
