Cricket rules for SCL - 2024

1. All league matches will be of overs 

2. Semifinal is of overs

3. Final is of overs

4. Umpires decision is final. In case of errors, core committee decisions will supersede. 

5. Ladies mandatory over

a. In league - 5th over b. SeminFinal - 7th over c. Final - 8 th over

6. Ladies mandatory over rules

a. Batting men striker and non striker will retire until the over

completes

b. Both striker and non striker batting will be done by ladies

in the over

c. If one gets out, non striker will be vacant and striker will

continue until over completes

d. If both gets out the over will be suspended

c. The over will be bowled by lady only

d. All other rules are applicable.

e. Only bowler and keeper allowed inside 30 yard cirlce or

inner circle. As there is no inner circle, while lady bats then except for 1 fielder, bowler and keeper, rest all should be close to boundary. This is to encourage ladies to bat with ease.

7. All communications will be made by the captain - If in case of any concern team member should communicate that to captain and he will communicate same to the umpire/scorer/core committee

8. Overs should be completed within the time provided.

9. Byes will carry runs

   

 10. Over throw will carry runs

11. No out for LBW

12. Any type of no ball will carry free hit in the next ball

13. Wides will carry extra 1 run

14. No ball will carry extra 1 run

15. Ball will be considered as no ball if it is a line no ball or above waist no ball

16. Bouncing above head will be a regular wide ball ( Umpires call)

17. Bowling guard is necessary for men bowlers

18. Captains are solely responsible for teams behavior. Captains need to promise on behalf of team that there will be no heated arguments from team members.

19. In case of any player getting involved in any sort of heated arguments/exchange of words/insulting others /raising voice among team or with other team will be disqualified or it might affect tournament cancellation. In case of cancellation of tournament no refund will be made to the team which causes heated argument or disputes. So please reach out to captain and captain should clearly communicate any confusions or if decisions are not satisfactory. This will be reviewed by core committee along with other team captains. 

20. In league Vicky green ball is used. 1 ball used for each innings. For a match 2 balls will be used.
