Bellary Premier League T20 2018 was organized between 20th Apr.’18 to 14th May’18 at Bellary.
Out of 10 participant teams, the final of this much celebrated tournament was played between R.B. Hunters Hosapete and J.N. Challengers on 14th May;18 at VCC Ground- Bellary.
R.B.Hunters Hosapete won the toss and elected to bat. Proving their decision right, team posted a good score of 161 runs in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Team started well with opening batsman Kanda Swamy T.K. scoring 53 runs off 32 balls with 9 boundaries. Santosh G and Chand Basha too played good innings and added 31 and 24 runs respectively at a good pace. Pick of the bowlers was Md. Rafi from J.N. Challengers, who took 3 wickets in 4 overs. Hulugappa too bowled well and chipped in with 2 important wickets during crucial overs.
While replying, J.N. Challengers failed to perform against strong bowling attack from R.B. Hunters Hosapete. None of the players managed to stand for long on crease as most of them were dismissed at 10’s. Highest contribution came from the Captain Ashok, who made important 33 runs in 19 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. Hulugappa too added 31 runs and remained not out which helped team reach at a decent score of 130 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Venkatesh B from R.B. Hunters Hosapete, who picked 3 wickets in 4 overs by giving 18 runs restricted J.N. Challengers from reaching at the target.
R.B. Hunters Hosapete registered a comfortable 31 runs win in the final of Bellary Premier League 2018 against J.N. Challengers.
Kanda Swamy T.K. from R. B. Hunters Hosapete was awarded as the player of the match.
