One of the most celebrated tournaments of Ahmedabad- Bhantu Premier League 2 was organized between 1st May’18 to 12th May’18.
An all-important final of this heavily followed tournament was held at Sardar Patel Stadium- Navarangpura, Ahmedabad on 12th May’18 between Jat Hitters and Chhara Kings.
Jat Hitters won the toss and elected to bat. Team played a good innings and posted 151 runs in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Pawan top scored with 56 runs off 44 balls with 5 boundaries and 1 six. The other major contributor was Romesh Tamayche, who made 35 runs in 19 balls. When most of the bowlers from Chhara Kings failed to restrict Jat Hitters, Ajay bowled extremely well and picked 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving only 10 runs.
While chasing, Chhara Kings tried really well but did not manage to score at required pace. None of the players stayed for long on crease and team started to lose wickets at regular intervals. Highest scorer was Kamlesh Machare with 21 runs. Rest all the players dismissed in 10’s and team collapsed making 126 runs in 19.3 overs. Chief wrecker was Romesh Tamayche from Jat Hitters, who scalped 3 important wickets in 4 overs restricting opponent team from reaching at the target. Stevan Abhvekar too chipped in with 2 wickets during crucial overs and played an important role in the final win.
Jat Hitters won the final by 25 runs against Chhara Kings in Bhantu Premier League -2.
Romesh Tamayche from Jat Hitters was awarded as the player of the match.
