VAV Samaj Premier League (VSPL)- organized by VAV Samaj- Surat was played between 26th Apr.’18 to 6th May’18 at Surat.
The crucial final of this heavily followed tournament was played between 18 Fire and Shitalnath Enterprise on 6th May’18 at Lalbhai Stadium- Surat.
Shitalnath Enterprise won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, 18 Fire played a wonderful innings with almost all the players contributing significantly for the final score. Highest scorers were Doshi Viren and Archit Niteshkumar Mehta with 23 and 21 runs respectively. Team posted a good score of 145 runs at the end of 16 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Aditya Vadecha from Shitalnath Enterprise with 3 wickets.
While replying, Shitalnath Enterprise did not manage to get a good start. Players failed to stay on crease for long and team bundled up making 61 runs in 12.2 overs. Vaibhav Vadecha was the highest scorer, who made 19 runs in 15 balls. Montu Parikh and Parth Sanghavi from 18 Fire rattled the rivals with 3 wickets each. Doshi Viren too picked 2 important wickets resulted in early collapse of Shitalnath Enterprise.
