One of the most prestigious tournaments of Chennai- 30th Rajiv Gandhi U-17 National League Cricket has flagged off on 24th Apr.’18.
16 teams from various cities of India and different countries are participating in this tournament. An interesting match was played between Tamil Nadu (RGC) and Bahrain (RGC) on 25th Apr.’18 at Scope Cricket Ground - Chennai.
Electing to bat, Tamil Nadu (RGC) played a wonderful innings and posted 193 runs in 18 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Tushar and Krithik gave team an excellent start as they scored 74 and 53 runs respectively at fast rate. Other players too contributed well helping team reach at a good score.
Bahrain (RGC) started to fumble from early overs against effective bowling by Tamil Nadu (RGC). Almost all the bowlers of Tamil Nadu (RGC) did a wonderful job but Satvik displayed some exceptional bowling skills as he took 2 wickets in 4 overs giving only 5 runs with 2 maiden overs. T.M.Shreyas too bowled really well and took 1 wicket in 4 overs and gave 8 runs which restricted opponent at a low score. Ahmed H was the highest scorer, who made 23 runs off 24 balls. Bahrain ended up scoring 83 runs in 18 overs by losing 6 wickets.
Tamil Nadu (RGC) registered a glorious win against Bahrain (RGC) with the wide margin of 110 runs.
Tushar from Tamil Nadu (RGC) was awarded as the player of the match.
