VI Inter Departmental Collector Cup 2018 organized by Recreation Club Collectorate Jaipur is played between 1st Apr.’18 to 22nd Apr.’18 at Jaipur.
24 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament. Held at Nirja Modi School- Jaipur, the final was played between RSEB and Education -2nd on 22nd Apr.’ 18.
Education -2nd won the toss and elected to field. They failed to restrict the opponent from scoring well. Batting first, RSEB posted a good score of 160 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Mannu Gaglat was the catalyst of the innings, who made impressive 53 runs off 40 balls while Vivek Kumar Singh scored 29 runs in 24 balls. Bowling highlight of the innings was Naveen Kumar Sharma from Education -2nd, who scalped 3 wickets in 4 overs giving only 11 runs.
While chasing, Education - 2nd did not get a very good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. None of the players managed to score at required rate against effective bowling by RSEB. All the bowlers of RSEB did a good job and team went on losing wickets at regular intervals. Nitesh Yadav from RSEB was the pick of the bowlers, who picked 2 important wickets in 4 overs. Highest scorer was Ajeet Raj Mehta with 37 runs. Team collapsed in 17.2 overs after making 98 runs.
RSEB won the final by huge margin of 62 runs against Education- 2nd in VI Inter Departmental Collector Cup 2018.
Mannu Galgat from RSEB was awarded as the player of the match.
