FPL 2- Fancy Premier League 2018 organized by FPL Parivaar was played between 19th Apr.’18 to 22nd Apr.’18 at Surat.
Out of 10 participant teams, the crucial final of this much celebrated tournament was held at De Villa L P Savani Sport- Surat on 22nd Apr.’18 between A.D. Avengers and Shree Tigers.
A.D. Avengers won the toss and elected to bat. Proving their decision right, team played an outstanding innings and made 215 runs in 16 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Leading batsman Ghanshyam was on fire as he smashed 100 runs in just 47 balls with 5 boundaries and 11 sixes. He received good support from the other end in form of Fenil Dholiya, who came up with quick fire knock of 68 runs from 23 balls with 3 fours and 8 sixes. Pick of the bowlers was Dharmesh Vasoya from Shree Tigers with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Shree Tigers too played very well and gave a very good fight to A.D. Avengers till last over with almost all the players contributing significantly for the final chase. Though most of the players scored at fast rate, team started to lose wickets at regular intervals, which slowed down their pace. Beladiya Sanjay and Fenil Dholiya from A.D Avengers picked 3 and 2 wickets respectively in crucial overs restricting the run flow of Shree Tigers. Highest scorers were Satish and Dharmesh Vasoya with 37 and 30 runs respectively. Despite having a strong batting line up, team did not manage to score at required rate and ended up scoring 193 runs at the end of 16 overs with the loss of 9 wickets.
A.D. Avengers won the final of FPL- Fancy Premier League 2018 by 22 runs against Shree Tigers.
