Shalby MPL 2018 was organized between 3rd Apr.’18 to 22nd Apr.’18 at Ahmedabad.
Held at Adani Shantigram- Ahmedabad, an all-important final of this much cherished tournament was played between Ellisbridge-1 and Vadaj Eleven on 22nd Apr.’18.
Ellisbridge-1 won the toss and elected to bat. Despite facing an early blow, team managed to put up a reasonable score of 106 runs in 12 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Stable partnership between Dr. Manish (38) and Dr. Rajat Patel (36) led team to a strong position.
While replying, Vadaj Eleven started to fumble from early overs. None of the players managed to cross 20’s and team ended up scoring 82 runs in 12 overs by losing 9 wickets. Highest scorer was Dr. Sandeep with 20 runs. Attacking bowling by Dr. Bhargav Patel and Rakesh Patel was the main reason of Vadaj Eleven’s early collapse as they took 3 wickets each damaging the batting line up of opponent team completely.
Ellisbridge-1 won the final by 24 runs against Vadaj Eleven in Shalby MPL 2018.
Rakesh Patel from Ellisbridge-1 was awarded as the player of the match.
