One of the most celebrated tournaments of Rajkot- Patidar Premier League 2018 was organized between 25th Mar.’18 to 19th Apr.’18.
Out of 99 participant teams, the crucial final of heavily followed tournament was played between Shreeji 11 A and Rising Star (PPL) on 19th Apr.’18 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Ground- Rajkot on 19th Apr.’18.
Shreeji 11 A won the toss and elected to bat. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, team managed to put up a reasonable score of 108 runs at the end of 16 overs after losing all the wickets. Highest scorers were Maulik Sudani and Ankit Patel with 39 and 26 runs respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Kishan Bhadani from Rising Star (PPL), who scalped 3 wickets in 3 overs.
While replying, Rising Star (PPL) did not manage to get a good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. Mayur Katba, who came to bat on 5th position played a good innings as he made 33 runs off 34 balls and remained not out. However, he did not get required support from the other end and team failed to score at required rate. Rising Star (PPL) closed their innings at the score of 86 runs in 16 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Though all the bowlers of Shreeji 11 A did a good job, pick of the bowlers was Heval Patel with 3 wickets.
Shreeji 11 A won the final of Patidar Premier League 2018 by 22 runs against Rising Star (PPL).
