KPPL 2018 was organized between 13th Apr.’18 to 17th Apr.’18 at Bardoli.
8 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament. A nail-biting final of this tournament was played between Varachha Warriors and Arjun Warriors on 17th Apr.’18 at Rang Avadhut Mandir Ground- Bardoli.
Arjun Warriors won the toss and elected to field. They failed to restrict Varachha Warriors at low score. Varachha Warriors played a very good innings with most of the players scoring at fast rate. Major contributors were Kalpesh Patel and Divyesh Patel with 27 and 25 respectively. Team posted a score of 103 runs at the end of 10 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Harshal Patel from Arjun Warriors, who scalped 3 wickets in 3 overs.
Returning with the bat, Arjun Warriors reached at the score of 103 runs at the end of 10 overs by losing 6 wickets. Highest scorers were Yash D and Viren Kanji, who made 24 and 20 runs at a good pace. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, team gave a very good fight till the end and equal the score in last over. Pick of the bowlers was Mitesh Patel from Varachha Warriors with 3 wickets.
