Pithora Cricket League 2018 was organized between 5th Apr.’18 to 13th Apr.’18 at Pithora.
Out of the 8 participant teams, the crucial final of this much cherished tournament was played between Sharma Coca Cola Royal Kings and Ajay Rising Stars on 13th Apr.’18 at Shahid Bhagat Singh Cricket Ground- Pithora.
Sharma Coca Cola Royal Kings won the toss and elected to bat. Team got a very good start with Om Prakash Banjare scoring 41 off 36 balls with 3 boundaries and 3 sixes. Other major contributor was Avinash who made 40 runs at good pace. Team ended up scoring 144 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Mohammad Sahil Gori from Ajay Rising Stars, who took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
While reply, Ajay Rising Stars played a good innings with almost all the players contributing for the final chase. Despite trying well, team went on losing wickets at regular intervals restricting them from reaching at the target. Yogendra Sahu from Sharma Coca Cola Royals bowled extremely well as took 4 important wickets in 3.5 overs damaging batting line up of Ajay Rising Stars badly. Ghanshyam Nayak too has shown some brilliant bowling skills and scalped 3 wickets in 4 overs. Ajay Rising Stars collapsed in 17.5 overs making 124.
Sharma Coca Cola Royal Kings won the final by 20 runs against Ajay Rising Stars in Pithora Cricket League 2018.
