Vadaval Premier League 2018 organized by Somvanshi Kshatriya Cricket Club- Vasai, Viras was played between 6th Apr.’18 to 8th Apr.’18 at Vasai.
Held at Chimaji Appa Cricket Ground- Vasai, an all-important final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Kelwa and Mahim on 8th Apr.’18.
Kelwa won the toss and elected to bat. Team got a good start with opening batsman Parth Rai scoring 66 runs off 33 balls with 6 boundaries and 3 sixes. However, remaining players didn’t score at the same pace and team ended up scoring 114 runs in 10 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Praful Patil from Mahim was the pick of the bowlers, who picked 2 wickets in 2 overs.
While chasing, Jeet Chaudhari gave a good start to Mahim as he smashed 70 runs off 27 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes. Chaitanya Vartak too chipped in with important 24 runs in 14 balls during crucial overs. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, team chased down the target in 9.3 overs with the loss of 6 wickets.
Mahim won the final of Vadaval Premier League 2018 by 4 wickets against Kelwa.
