6th Kapoor Chand Memorial Cricket Tournament- Hotel Ajay International Cup 2017-18 was played between 1st Apr.’18 to 7th Apr.’18 at Allahabad.
Out of the 8 participant teams, the final was played between Stadium Boys and DSA NCR at Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium - Allahabad on 7th Apr.’18.
Stadium Boys A won the toss and elected to bat. Opening batsman Pratham Mishra gave team a very good start as he smashed 108 runs in 87 balls with 10 fours and 8 sixes. He has received a very good support from the other end in form of Rohit Raj Pal, who scored unbeaten 79 off 72 balls. Team reached at a good score of 258 runs at the end of 40 overs by losing 7 wickets. Imran Ali SR from DSA NCR was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets.
Chasing 259, DSA NCR lost their first wicket in the very first over of the innings. However, Balram Yadav (57) and Rakesh Mishra’s (108) stable partnership of 164 runs led team to a strong position. Taha Ali and Zahid Ali, who came to bat on 4th and 5th position contributed well for the final chase by adding 44 and 32 runs respectively at fast rate. Team chased down the target in 38.3 overs by losing 3 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Yash Dayal from Stadium Boys A with 2 wickets.
DSA NCR won the final by 7 wickets against Stadium Boys A in 6th Kapoor Chand Memorial Cricket Tournament- Hotel Ajay International Cup 2017-18.
