HPL U-12 Cricket Championship is organized between 19th Mar.’18 to 4th Apr.’18 at Jaipur.
6 teams from different cricket academies participated in this tournament. The final of this much cherished tournament was held at Panther Cricket Stadium - Jaipur on 4th Apr.’18 between Kodai Cricket Academy and Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy.
Kodai Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat. Despite having a strong batting line up, team struggled to stay strong against effective bowling by Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy. Though most of the players contributed for the final score, team did not manage to score at fast rate and bundled up making 149 runs in 39.2 overs. Highest scorers were Bhuwan Sharma and Shubhankar Tyagi with 33 and 32 runs respectively. Bowling highlight of the innings was Sayar Singh from Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy, who took 3 wickets in 8 overs by giving only 23 runs restring Kodai Cricket Academy from scoring well.
While replying, Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy did not get a very good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. However, Amit Sevada, who came to bat on 4th spot played a wonderful innings and remained unbeaten at the score of 75 runs in 94 balls taking team towards the final victory. Other major contributor was Vivek Saini with 28 runs. Team chased down the target in 36.4 overs by losing 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Jatin Saini from Kodai Cricket Academy with 2 wickets.
Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy won the final of HPL U-12 Cricket Championship by 4 wickets against Kodai Cricket Academy.
Amit Sevada from Rajeev Gandhi Cricket Academy was awarded player of the match.
