Mahyavanshi Unique League 2018 was played between 3rd Feb.’18 to 1st Apr.’18 at Surat.
Out of the 16 participant teams, the crucial final of this much cherished tournament was played between Jenil XI Vihan and Solanki XI Antroli on 1st Apr.’18 at Iyp Pipodra- Surat.
Solanki XI Antroli won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Jenil XI Vihan played well and put up a final score of 138 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 overs. Major contributors were Jatin and Hiren Valankar, who scored 29 and 26 runs respectively at a good pace. Solanki XI Antroli bowlers did a good job and managed to take wickets at regular intervals, restricting Jenil XI Vihan from putting up a big score. Pick of the bowlers were Krutarth Deladva and Shri Natvarbhai Deladvala with 3 wickets each.
While replying, Solanki XI Antroli failed to get a good start and team started to lose wickets from early overs. None of the players managed to score freely against the strong bowling attack by Jenil XI Vihan. Captain Ketan R Mahyavanshi was the highest scorer with 20 runs. Rest of the players did not manage to go beyond 10’s and team collapsed at the score of 91 runs in 18.1 overs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Raju Brevo from Jenil XI Antroli, who scalped 2 wickets in 4 overs giving only 12 runs.
Jenil XI Vihan won the final by 47 runs against Solanki XI Antroli in Mahyavanshi Unique League 2018.
