Super Smash T25 Blast 2018 was organized between 10th Feb.’18 to 24th Mar.’18 at Mohali.
Out of the 5 participant teams, the final was played between Scoring Smashers and Gangland on 24th Mar.’18 at Chappad Chidi-Mohali.
Scoring Smashers won the toss and elected to bat. Team played a wonderful innings with all the players contributing significantly for the final score. Captain Ankush Dhingra played really well and scored 72 runs off 41 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Haidar and Harish Kalia too scored well and added 39 and 27 runs respectively at fast pace. Team ended up at a good score of 224 runs in 25 overs by losing 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Kapil Singh Bisht from Gangland with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Gangland started to fumble from early overs. Most of the players scored in 10’s and team collapsed at the score of 137 runs in 20.5 overs. Ankush Sarin was the highest scorer, who made 57 runs in 31 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. All the bowlers of Scoring Smashers did a good job but pick of the bowlers was Haidar, who took 3 wickets in 5 overs. Captain Ankush Dhingra too succeeded in picking 2 wickets in 5 overs.
Scoring Smashers won the final of Super Smash T25 Blast 2018 by 87 runs.
