One of the most prestigious tournaments of Patna- Mirchi Premier League 2018 was organized by Radio Mirchi between 13th Mar.’18 to 21st Mar.’18.
Out of the 8 participant teams, an all important final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Danapur Damdar and Harnaut Hurricanes on 21st Mar.’18 at Energy Stadium- Patna on 21st Mar.’18.
Harnaut Hurricanes won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Danapur Damdar played a wonderful innings with all the players scoring at a good pace. Opening batsman Gaurav Tomar gave team a good start by scoring 38 runs off 26 balls with 3 boundaries and 3 sixes. Asfan Khan played extremely well and remained not out at the score of 40 runs off 25 balls. Team managed to put up a good score of 174 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Samar Quadri from Harnaut Hurricanes as he scalped 2 wickets in 3 overs.
While replying, Harnaut Hurricanes lost their first wicket very early in the form of Nazim Siddique. However, the strong partnership between Virat Singh (47) and Saurabh Tiwari (57) gave team a stable start, which followed by a wonderful innings by Ishan Kishan, who remained unbeaten at 67 runs off 33 balls. Harnaut Hurricanes reached at the score of 180 runs in 16.5 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Ravindra Singh from Danapur Damdar was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets.
Harnaut Hurricanes won the final by 7 wickets against Danapur Damdar in Mirchi Premier League 2018.
